The cabin is fully heated and cooled with central air HVAC. Enjoy the extra warmth of a fire in the large fireplace for those early spring, fall, and winter weddings. Firewood is provided on the back porch. The Bride and Groom frequently choose to reside here for an overnight stay, whether enjoying a late morning in the cabin or rising bright and early to catch a plane, the Cabin is an ideal place to stay.
Beyond its celestial role in weddings, our Cabin is also an idyllic sanctuary for intimate autumnal getaways, promising a tranquil respite from the mundane. Picture yourself embraced by the warmth of the crackling fire pit, as you relish the delightful symphony of toasty marshmallows dancing over the flames, kindling cherished memories that will forever be etched.

The Cabin boasts an intimate “keeping room”, appointed with beaver pelts and fur rugs, lending the aesthetics of rustic sophistication. A galley kitchen and large bathroom along with two porches offer an early morning coffee or late afternoon retreat.
Ascending to the top of the stairs, you will see the charming bedroom, complete with family photos, paintings, which tell a history of the cabin, and an early eighteenth century brass bed. Fall asleep with the swinging upstairs windows open if you like, to hear the crickets sing.
What is a cabin without a porch… or two? Experience the day’s first light from here, while listening to the sound of the water wheel turn from the nearby Gristmill. Our North Carolina hickory rockers offer comfort and sophistication, or choose to glide on the porch swing.
